WhatsApp Redesign By Julian Kraske

You probably use WhatsApp every day. It's a great way to contact your friends and more important: It's totally free. (despite your operator costs off course)

The only problem with WhatsApp is that it’s not the very well designed. Julian Kraske seems to agree too so he’s come up with his own design of WhatsApp in his free time. And it looks beautiful. It has a very modern design and the interface is just stunning. Also a beautiful use of the typical green WhatsApp logo color.

Yahoo today began rolling out a redesigned homepage, as part of CEO Marissa Mayer's ongoing effort. Mayer announced the revamped site in a blog post published Wednesday, writing that the site is "designed to be more intuitive and personal." Yahoo began testing its redesign among some users in early January, and will begin rolling it out to all users in the US "over the next few days."

Designed to be more intuitive and personal, the new Yahoo! experience is all about your interests and preferences. Whether you are a sports fanatic or entertainment buff, you can easily customize your newsfeed to your interests. Pinterest is testing a new look

Pinterest announced it's testing a subtle new look among a small group of users to make it easier to find what you're searching for on the site.

The company aims to improve a few key components, such as making navigation more intuitive and faster. Pins will also be bigger and include more image details. The new design also includes a related pins side bar, which may encourage users to stay on the site longer by clicking through to other boards.

"Pins are bigger and we’ve added more information related to pins, so it’s easier to find things you’re interested in," Vy Pham, software engineer at Pinterest, wrote in an official company blog post. "For example, on each pin, you’ll see pins from the same board, other boards this pin was pinned to, and a whole slew of related pins."

Awesome GUI Designs

GUI to present information: The main objective of a GUI should be to present information to the user in a comfortable and efficient way, and this is the job of a UI designer or, by extension, a web designer. It’s advisable to try new methods and techniques that provide some differentiating, exclusive or standout element compared to all the others; this will mark it out from the rest, but the main goal should never be allowed to get out of sight.
